2023 Diamonds of Excellence Chapter Woman of the Year
Kathy Bell

Congratulations to Diamond of Excellence 2023 Chapter WOTY, Kathy Bell. Kathy is a 6-year ABWA member. She has attended several regional and national conferences. She serves on the Fundraising and Membership committee. She actively recruits for the chapter. Kathy is a business owner of Kathy’s Korner Floral Designs and Boutique located in HyVee Arena. She started her floral designs in the basement of her home and has expanded her passion of creating floral designs to clothes.
Kathy is currently employed at Synchrony Bank, which was formerly GE Capital Retail Bank, and has been employed for over 14 years. She has held several positions from answering the phones to mailing out customer tax documents. Kathy has been in the Customer Service industry for over 40 years and previously worked for Sprint and JC Penny’s.
Kathy graduated from Lincoln High School in Kansas City, Mo. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Project Management and her Master of Business Administration degrees. She is a member of the University of Phoenix National Society of Leadership and Success.
Kathy has 4 adult children: Veronica, Carmen, Christopher, and Travis and is a grandmother of 6 and a great grandmother of 3.

Empowering Women through Educational Scholarships
Today’s scholarship recipients are tomorrow’s leaders. ABWA members have provided opportunities for women to achieve their personal and professional best by championing educational opportunities through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF).
